Dear Allan,

Really thankful for your email.   I am glad that I asked you the questions.

Yes, I was very thankful that the Arrow staffs taught her some solid money management skills including savings etc.  When she showed me the sample spreadsheet she received in her training, I was impressed.  Thank God!

I will help her with the setup of the HSBC account and bank the money to her every month (which is my preferred method as well in this Internet age anyway :>).  Also, will try to encourage her re savings etc as advised.

Environmental Training would help

I'm a happy employer, and I'm very happy that Arrowes does training classes on various topics for helpers from time to time.

I do have a suggestion.  I think it'd be very beneficial if you guys can conduct a few trainings/talks on the environment.  My experience (and I've asked a lot of other employers) is that helpers don't understand conservation.  When it comes to water, detergent, and plastic, they just are so wasteful.  I think it's about awareness and when employers communicate it they often think of it as petty or they might think it makes their job a lot easier if they turn the tap all the way or use a lot of detergent.  Again this is my observation and if you guys can educate our helpers on this topic it would be great.   (Name withheld)

I just wanted to write a note to thank both of you for helping me in the process of applying for a new helper, and for your tender loving care to my new helper, Ms B. She is good and hard working. I appreciate her help very much. Glad to know that she enjoyed the time with all her new friends at your church on her first rest day last  Sunday (27 Jan). Helper improves the quality of family life for this customer

L***  has adjusted wonderfully to our family and the children adores her, especially our littlest one. 

We are very pleased with her performance. She takes initiatives and manages her time well. She has become such a fabric in our family it's hard to imagine that it's only been 2 weeks.

Our apartment is always clean and she is secretly a wonderful cook. We have opportunity to spend quality time with our children now because L*** takes care of the house management.

I have two praise reports to share.

One – I thank God for your ministry and your heart to pair up good helpers and good homes.  I have domestic helper needs and I am so glad that God provided a Christian agency to help me.

Two – I thank God for M*** as she is doing very well at my home.  She is a blessing to my family and my children are growing to like her.  I appreciate her positive attitude and her willingness to communicate.  I pray and I hope that this great start of our relationship will continue on. 

As mentioned to Ione and maybe some of you earlier, I would like M*** to attend your church and make good Christian friends when she is off and when she can.  To encourage her to do so, I am giving her a paid holiday this Sunday and she is also excited about attending church.  However, since she is new to Hong Kong and I am quite busy during the Christmas season, do you know if there is a church member lives near **** that may take her to church this Sunday.  If so, please call me...

  I would also like to share that I really appreciate how Arrow actively follows up on the status after a new helper arrives.  This serves as a communication bridge between helper and employer and it is very helpful, especially before a family and the new helper develop a trusted relationship. Employer agencies in general may fulfill the needs, but Arrow strives to reach hearts.  Thanks again for the good work you all do!
