She prepared dinner for the children and helped put them to bed. Her employer began hitting her with her hands and her slippers, so Mary Ann resigned and returned to the Philippines.

When her grandmother had a heart attack, Mary Ann took care of her, feeding her, taking her to the bathroom, helping her bath, and administering medicine. (May 2011 until present). She has cats and dogs at home and is comfortable around pets.
