Charmin A.

Charmin A is a 41 y.o. single parent of 2 kids: 18, 12 y.o. is the 2nd of 3 siblings. Her mother is caring for her kids while she works abroad to support the family.

She  completed a 2 year vocational course in hotel restaurant management. She speaks English well and is easy to communicate with.

Jan 2021 - present: She is working in HK Tokwawan for a couple with a newborn baby girl. When Charmin started the first child was 3 days old. The oldest is now 4 y.o. and her little brother is 2 years old. Her duties have included full-time newborn care, toddler care, reading stories, teaching English, housework, laundry, and ironing. She takes the child to schools and activities. After the 2nd child was born Charmin took care of him til the age of 4 months. A 2nd helper was hired and arrived in 2023. She took over care of the youngest child and worked for 16 months before resigning. The home is small, only 400 s.f. so there is little privacy for the helpers. Dec 2024, a new 2nd helper has arrived to share the work load. The employers are good, but the situation doesn't allow any privacy, and as the children get older the employers are putting pressure on her to tutor the child and making her responsible for the child's success in school. She wants to find a better position.

2018 - 2020: She worked in HK Mid-levels for a couple with an adult son. Her duties focused on cleaning, laundry and ironing. She had a co-worker who later retired, and then Charmin took over the cooking duties. She finished her contract. She feels she is a good cook now.
