She took the child to school, then went back home, prepared breakfast for the madam and sir, then did the housework, laundry, and ironing. When her employer's mother needed help (her own helper was off duty) Merchita would go to her house and help her change diapers, administer insulin, give meds, and care for her. This inspired her to want to learn caregiving. In Oct 2022 Merchita's mother passed away so she went home to the Philippines. Her employer wanted her to return and work, but her father asked her to stay longer. She was also in the middle of Caregiver training.
